4 differences between the sea of Azov and the Black sea
All summer you want to go to relax, get a tan and, of course, swim in the sea! Not everyone can afford to fly abroad, and then the seas of Russia come to the rescue.
Fortunately, there are 2 whole seas in our country, and everyone can choose the one that they like best!
1. The size of the jellyfish
Such a phenomenon as a storm cannot be avoided anywhere. At this time, it brings jellyfish to the shore. Someone likes it, and someone is terribly afraid of them. On the black sea during a storm, only small jellyfish (no more than 10 cm in diameter) swim without tentacles. Of course, the further you swim, the bigger and scarier they can be. It is also possible that there may be jellyfish at the depth that can sting. On the sea of Azov, right at the shore, creatures swim many times more than on the Black sea. Their average size is 30 cm, and if you consider the long tentacles, about 50 cm. Basically, they will not do you any harm, except for possible panic when they approach. However, among the 50 such jellyfish, there are 1-2 that can sting. But this is not fatal. The number of jellyfish on both seas can vary greatly depending on the strength of the wind and its duration.
2. Temperature
The temperature of the sea is a fickle thing. Russia does not boast warm seas with a water temperature of 30 degrees, but the sea of Azov is much warmer than the Black sea. You can get used to the temperature of the water in the Black sea, but it is better not to stay in it for a very long time. Entering the sea of Azov after the Black sea, you will be surprised at what a comfortable temperature there can be. But, of course, it all depends on the case.
3. Depth
Like the temperature, the depth of the sea differs in different places. In most cases, the Black sea does not have a long approach to the depth, unlike the Azov sea. The sea of Azov in this regard is well suited for holidays with children, as the beach shore is mostly shallow. There are similar places on the Black sea, just look for them. But there are no steep cliffs on any equipped beach in these seas. In addition, almost all beaches have lifeguards. So you should not worry about the safety of yourself and your loved ones.
4. Beaches
There are 2 types of beaches on the Black sea – pebble and sand. There is also a mixed one. The pebble beach is both large and small. This is a good opportunity to bring home some beautiful stones. You can also bring something interesting from the beaches of the sea of Azov. These are shells! There's a beach where you walk right on the shells – they're all around you. This can be called local sand. And it is much more interesting to bring shells, even small ones, than pebbles. But it all depends on your preferences.
There is no better of these two seas. Each of them is unique in its own way. After looking at one, be sure to visit the other. And don't forget to apply sunscreen!
