"Victory" in Gelendzhik is available to all
The Gelendzhik Museum of local history has an exhibition of battle and historical paintings, graphics and sculptures, United by the theme "Victory".
Until July 1, everyone can enjoy the works of front-line artists, many of whom lived and worked in the Krasnodar region, for free.
The exhibition contains both new and well-known paintings for residents of Gelendzhik and Kuban. Among them is a unique collection of graphics by Vladimir Tsigal-a participant in the battles on Malaya Zemlya, a sculptor, people's artist of the USSR, winner of many state prizes.
Visitors to the Museum can see a unique exhibit-a memorial capsule of the kunik heroes and a message that they bequeathed to open on Victory Day 2020.
The capsule was laid in 1970, in honor of the 25th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war.
The management of the Museum of local lore is grateful to the head of the resort city of Gelendzhik Alexey Bogodistov for helping to purchase some of the paintings for the exhibition.
